 Bryan Construction Awarded Over $400m in Federal Work
Colorado General Contractor Bryan Construction has been awarded over $400M in projects by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (USACE). The awarded work consists of five contracts for the United States Air Force.
The following projects have been contracted with Bryan Construction to help support the government’s future B-21 stealth bomber initiative at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota:
• Formal Training Unit / Aircraft Maintenance Unit (FTU/AMU) - Current Value $65M. The FTU/AMU project includes 44,487 square feet of secure aircraft maintenance space, 43,776 square feet of secure squadron operations space, and a 5,000-square-foot non-secure flight kitchen. This secure building will also have soundproof interior and various radio frequency shields throughout.
• Mission Operations Planning & Field Detachment Training (MPF & FTD) - Current Value $100M. This project scope consists of the construction of two
ground-up buildings. The MPF will be 45,085 square feet and provide secure operations planning space. The FTD will be 55,928 square feet and contain secure maintenance training and classroom space.
• B-21 Washrack Hangar - Current Value $75M. This project’s scope will span 75,000 square feet and add a new two-bay hangar to support Northrop Grumman’s new B-21 stealth bomber.
• B-21 Flight Simulator - Current Value $40M. The new B-21 Flight Simulator will be a 28,700-square-foot addition
to the pre-existing flight simulation facility at Ellsworth Air Force Base. The project will be vital for the B-21 operations in providing training on the new aircraft.
Bryan Construction was also recently awarded the new Helicopter Operations, Maintenance, and Tactical Response Force hangar for the Grey Wolf Helicopter at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. The hangar, valued at $129M, will span 130,500 square feet as a readiness center with 24/7 active crews on-site to monitor base missile fields.
5 Senses Hospitality Management Launches AC Hotel Frisco Colorado by Marriott®
Denver-based hotel company 5 Senses Hospitality Management has announced the grand opening of the AC Hotel Frisco Colorado by Marriott® located on 1202 Summit Boulevard in Frisco, Colorado off I-70. The announcement comes nearly two years after the hotel’s acquisition
in 2021 and subsequent renovation.
Keeping sustainability at its core, the hotel underwent a significant renovation in which it recycled 48,000 pounds of scrap metal and saved 22,500 pounds of material from Colorado landfills. Additionally, the hotel salvaged and donated 10 mattresses and more than 150 appliances, recovered 20 couches from the landfill stream,
recycled 800 pounds of universal waste, including 400 HHW units, CFL bulbs and ballasts, as well as donated the property's gym equipment for reuse.
Encore Electric Wins First Place at CSEA
Encore Electric was named a first-place winner in the 2022 Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) Specialty Contractors 1-2 Million work hours division. A small group of electricians, safety professionals, and leaders from Encore Electric gathered at the awards convention for a final presentation, telling their stories of who inspires them to work safely and sharing the legacy of safety at Encore Electric.
