 Ware Malcomb Promotes David Nighswonger

Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced David Nighswonger, PE, has been promoted to Director, Regional Operations based in the firm’s Denver office. In
the role, he will oversee operations for the civil engineering team firmwide.
Since joining Ware Malcomb in 2016, David has managed numerous civil engineering projects
and has overseen preparation of construction documents and construction administration for the firm’s public, commercial, residential, education and
retail projects. He has been instrumental in expanding the civil engineering team from having team members in three offices to team members in twelve in just the past four years.
A registered Civil Engineer in Colorado, David brings more than 31 years of civil engineering experience to the team, including fifteen years serving as a Development Engineering Manager and Public Works Director for the city of Thornton, CO, a city of more than 140,000 residents.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
BranchPattern Hires New Practice Lead Enhancing Firm’s Sustainability Expertise
 Kristy Walson
BranchPattern, a nationally renowned sustainability and engineering firm, welcomed Kristy Walson as Practice Lead. Kristy comes to BranchPattern after most recently serving as a Senior Sustainability Engineer with Amazon. Kristy will lead the firm's efforts to remove carbon from the built environment, from initial design through the ongoing operation of existing buildings.
Kristy has been a frequent speaker at industry events and has been involved with the U.S. Green Building Council since 2006, where she currently
serves in the Energy and Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group. She is a national committee member of Women in Green and served on the Central Florida Board of Directors. Additionally, Kristy is a core National MEP2040 Steering Committee member and an AIA COTE Top 10 Technical Advisor for Energy and Discovery.
Kristy's leadership and advocacy for sustainability in decarbonization
have earned her several awards for her accomplishments. She became a LEED Fellow in 2020 and was a recipient of USGBC Florida's Community Rockstar Award in 2021 due to her efforts in decarbonization. Her project accomplishments include completing 82 Certified LEED® projects, across six LEED® rating systems, and serving as the building performance modeling consultant for over Six Million square feet of commercial real estate spaces.
