Snowmass Base Village Building 6, “The Collective” Awarded Prestigious LEED® Green Building Certification
Snowmass Base Village Building 6 – “The Collective” achieved LEED® Gold certification for implementing practical and measurable strategies and solutions in areas including sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. Green buildings allow companies to operate more sustainably and give the people inside them a healthier, more comfortable space to work.
Harry Teague set out to design a building to meet the Town of Snowmass Village’s request for a LEED® Gold building. The LEED standards for a new commercial building that is designed at sea level is not an easy request to accomplish however one that is built at an altitude of 8,104 feet with harsh climate conditions proves even more challenging. His use of Polygal windows draws natural, diffused light into all plaza level areas. Vast float away doors, blurs the buildings indoor and outdoor use year round. The architectural elements – from natural light and exceptional air quality to open, flowing indoor gathering spaces – provide a unique resort amenity to Snowmass Base Village. The Collective’s plaza is an inviting gathering space – through sociopetal benches, fire pits and skating rink. This award demonstrates Harry Teague Architect’s commitment to sustainable practices in our mountain communities.

HIXXA Communications Expands, Opens New Office in San Marcos, TX
HIXXA feels exceptionally fortunate to be able to continue to grow despite the current Covid situation and the challenges it brings to all in the industry.
They have established an office in San Marcos, Texas to serve the San Antonio and Austin markets. The office has successfully completed the HEB Dry Distribution warehouse, a 1.5million square ft facility and is currently working on the Hays County Jail and Hays County Public Safety Building.
HIXXA is a member of AGC of Colorado, and has joined the AGC of San Antonio, and Austin Texas.
Hixxa Communications Inc. provides testing, design, installation and integration of Emergency Responder Radio Amplification Systems, and Cellular distributed Antenna Systems for in-building coverage.
