Aurora Public Schools’ Health Sciences High School Building to Open in 2027
Bryan Construction Partners on New Aurora Public Schools Health Sciences Facility.
Bryan Construction is partnering on a bond-funded Health Sciences building for Aurora Public Schools that will support the district’s new Health Science High School, a planned facility designed to give students exposure to healthcare careers through specialized learning environments.
The project is planned to include simulated healthcare spaces such as operating rooms, patient care areas and ambulance training spaces. Construction is currently in its early stages, with site work underway, including over-excavation, soil reconditioning and foundation preparation.
Aurora Public Schools’ Health Science High School is slated to open in northwest Aurora in fall 2027. The school is being funded through the district’s 2024 bond program and is intended to serve APS students as a district-wide magnet school.
The school will be located near North Middle School and close to the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Aurora Public Schools is partnering with the Community College of Aurora and UCHealth to support healthcare education and training opportunities for students.
Planned healthcare pathways include nursing, behavioral health, medical imaging with an X-ray focus, respiratory therapy and surgical technology. Through the program, students are expected to have opportunities for hands-on experience, industry certification and training connected to healthcare fields.
The new facility is part of Aurora Public Schools’ broader investment in career-connected learning environments that prepare students for college, credentials and workforce opportunities in healthcare.
