Polly Ayres, Publisher, CCD magazine.

PRESIDENT / PUBLISHER

Polly Ayres

Polly Ayres brings over 25 years of diverse experience in marketing, business consulting, e-commerce, print and digital publishing, proposal writing for the A/E/C industry, graphic design, and web development. For nearly 12 years, she also served in dual roles within multidisciplinary engineering firms as an Automation Control Systems Engineer, developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems used across municipal water treatment facilities, oil and gas production, grain handling and distribution, aviation, consumer packaging, and web-based HVAC/R climate control systems.

Her portfolio includes successful projects for clients such as Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Coors Brewing Company, Denver International Airport, Honeywell Xceed, Anadarko Petroleum, National Jewish Health, Samuel Engineering, Bühler, Cargill, General Electric (GE), and Palmolive.

Polly earned a degree in Communications and Media Studies from Florida State University and holds a Honeywell PKS (Process Knowledge System) Graphics & Control Builder certificate from Honeywell Academy. A lifelong learner, she earned a diploma in Commercial Property Management, as well as Real Estate and Appraisal, and Blueprint Reading. She also attended the Art Institute of Colorado for advanced/continued training in Graphic Design, Digital Image Management, and Technical Illustration—fields in which she’s been naturally gifted since childhood.

Driven by an inquisitive mind and a belief that knowledge fuels understanding and excellence, Polly continues to apply her multidisciplinary background to elevate client success and creative outcomes.

Jaime Clark, Chief Marketing Officer

Jaime Clark

Jaime Clark leverages over a decade of AEC experience, enriched by her early career in MarTech. This unique blend of digital expertise and entrepreneurship prepared her well for a career in the built environment—with eight years as a small business owner/partner in Denver, Seattle, and Honolulu; three years with a regional general contractor; and a year with a Phoenix-based marketing agency.

Volunteer leadership has been a cornerstone of Jaime’s career. As Past President of SMPS Hawaii (2021-22), she demonstrates a strong commitment to the AEC community. Currently, she serves as Director-at-Large on the SMPS Colorado Executive Board and chairs the One2One Mentorship Program. Her dedication was recognized with the 2022 SMPS Colorado “Marketer of the Year” award. Jaime also volunteers with CREW Denver as a Co-chair of the Communications Committee.

Jaime is a University of Colorado alumnus, holding a Master of Arts in Information and Learning Technologies, and a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Marketing and Organizational Management.

Josh Miles

Josh Miles, is the founder of Bold Brand LLC, a branding & video agency focused on helping AEC firms build powerful brand strategies, unique firm identities, and lasting business value. With over 25 years of branding experience, Josh offers fractional CMO services for AEC and tech firms lacking a marketing leader. He is also the host of the increasingly popular Bold Brand Show—a podcast featuring innovators in the AEC industry who are thinking about what's next.

As a past TEDx presenter, Josh delivered keynotes from the Midwest to the Middle East, including hosting the OG design podcast, Obsessed Show, The Josh & Torrey Show, and formerly co-hosted the PSM Show. He is the author of Bold Brand 2.0 - How to Leverage Brand Strategy to Reposition, Differentiate and Market your Professional Services Firm.

Adding to his already impressive background in marketing and public speaking, Josh has had the honor of serving on the advisory board for the Purdue University Lamb School of Communication. Previously, he served as CMO for SMPS, and before that, co-founded MilesHerndon, a branding agency specializing in brand strategy, corporate identity, and website design. Josh has been proudly recognized as one of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and was also named to Delta Sigma Phi’s 40 Under 40.

Jim Schneider

Jim Schneider, LEED AP, is Executive Director of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Mountain States chapter, which covers Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming. As a regional executive director, he works with PCI members, architects, designers, building owners, and educators in assisting with project planning.

Jim has been the manager, external communications in the marketing department at the PCI and was editor of PCI’s Ascent magazine. He has been the editor of several business publications, including Eco-Structure, Plumbing Engineer, PHC News, and Metalmag. He also is a regular contributor to several national and regional industry publications, including Retrofit, Retrofit Home, Smart Buildings Technology, Colorado Design & Construction, and Utah Construction & Design.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. He is a LEED AP and is passionate about efficient and sustainable design.

Paul Suter

Paul Suter operates Suter Media Relations, a Denver based media relations firm specializing in generating publicity for real estate companies and professional businesses which started in 1993.

Paul represents Colorado Construction & Design® magazine along with some of the most outstanding and respected companies in Colorado. He has helped bring significant press attention to multiple new and existing real estate developments, projects, companies and interests throughout Denver and Colorado. Strong and respected relationships within the Colorado AEC industry, combined with creative and newsworthy approaches continue to result in positive and consistent press attention for our advertisers, industry partners, and print and digital readers/subscribers.

Michael Gifford, MPA

Michael Gifford is an accomplished public affairs expert in advocacy strategy, coalition building, public policy strategy and advocacy communication that delivers measurable results. He's gained these skills on the inside as an elected and appointed official and on the outside as an accomplished trade association CEO. Currently Gov & CDLE appointed to the Colorado State Apprenticeship Council.

Michael is also the immediate past president of Associated General Contractors Association of Colorado (AGC Colorado).

Mike Branigan

FOUNDER / RETIRED - PUBLISHER

Michael Branigan

Mike Branigan has 30 years of construction news and marketing experience in Denver. His career in Colorado began as Construction Category Manager for the Denver Business Journal, where he was also named Construction Practice Leader for its parent company, American City Business Journals. He later served as Colorado Construction Account Executive for McGraw-Hill Construction before founding Colorado Construction & Design magazine in 2008, where he served as President and Publisher.

Mike holds a degree in Journalism Advertising from the University of Nebraska, along with certificates in Marketing from both the University of Colorado, Denver, and the University of Denver.

Before settling in Colorado, Mike worked in media roles spanning radio, television, and advertising agency management, earning numerous industry awards along the way. Mike is the winner of five marketing excellence awards for “BEST MAGAZINE” from the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) of Colorado.

After undergoing four open-heart surgeries, Mike retired at age 65 for health reasons and sold the magazine in 2021 to Polly Ayres, former Editor and Associate Publisher of Colorado Construction & Design magazine.

“I tremendously miss the A/E/C industry,” says Branigan, who now enjoys traveling and spending winters at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife, Nancy.
