AGC is starting 2023 with great momentum for the construction industry. Here are the highlights:
2023 Legislative Session
AGC was at the capitol defending the industry and educating 32 new legislators about the construction industry.
OSHA Training Institute Education Center
AGC’s Construction Education Foundation has been selected as an authorized OTIEC location for USDOL Region 8. Other partners include the AGC Chapters in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. The designation means CEF and AGC will be offering a full menu of safety topics (in-person and virtually) including the OSHA 500 series. Check out the opportunities at www.cefcolorado.org By the way this is the first time since OTIEC’s were created in 1994 that a non-university has been chosen by OSHA to deliver these important safety topics, so this is sort of a big deal. 🙂
Construction Education Foundation Workforce Center
AGC has opened a 27,000 sf Workforce Center through our Construction Education Center. We will be operating several new programs in 2023:
- 2-Year Carpentry Apprenticeship Program (Registered with US DOL)
- 50-hour Sustainable Building Certificate Program for high school students
- 3-Year Superintendent Program (to be Registered with US DOL)
