AGC of Colorado hit it out of the park at the 100th Annual AGC of America Convention in Denver!
In the spirit of the Colorado Rockies Home Opener held on April 5th at Coors Field, the first week of April 2019 in Denver was booming with highly anticipated A/E/C industry events.
The A/E/C industry event, heavy hitter starting off
the week was the 100th Annual AGC of America Convention at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, held on April 1st
to April 4th. The event brought 1000’s of successful contractors from around
the country to gain insight on how to handle issues that affect commercial contractors on the jobsite and expand their knowledge of government office policy and procedure. There were more than 15 education seminars and keynote presentations from highly respected industry professionals, and solutions from over 125 companies in the AGC equipment, technology and construction marketplace.
A stand out education session for many was presented by AGC of Colorado’s President, Michael Gifford who shared a year in the making of developing technology of the future in construction. Gifford exclaimed,
“I couldn’t be prouder to learn that AGC of Colorado’s session had the highest number of attendees!” He went on to say, “the whole nation was excited to be in Denver.”
Colorado Construction and Design magazine was at the 100th Annual AGC of America Convention to welcome the 2500 plus visitors to Colorado!

Following AGC of Colorado’s home run at the 100th Annual AGC Convention was the Rockies Opening Day with AGC event, held on April 5th at 2220 Curtis Street (Ken’s Reproductions). Every year, AGC Associates Council invites AGC members to join in the fastest growing Colorado Construction Industry tradition. Colorado GC’s, specialty contractors, suppliers and associate members enjoyed a pregame celebration
for the Colorado Rockies Home Opener and took advantage of networking with all those in attendance. The celebration included pancakes, craft beers served by Colorado’s top specialty contractors, hotdogs and sides, corn hole, and raffles held every hour. A big thanks goes out to all of the sponsors of the event!
AGC Associates Council and Colorado Construction & Design magazine jointly created the Rockie’s Opening Day Tailgater five years ago, growing the event with more participating sponsors each year.
