Kumar & Associates, Inc.’s (K+A) Personnel Achievements
After 32 years, David Scott, K+A's former laboratory manager retired recently leading to the promotion of Jessie Mendenhall as the new Denver (HQ) Laboratory Manager. Jessie has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He began at K+A as a Lab Technician, later transitioned into the field as a Senior Engineering Technician before being promoted to Construction Project Supervisor. In addition, he ran a CDOT Mobile Lab for several years on remote projects throughout Region 4. Jessie is taking his years of experience in the lab and field to continue the success of the laboratory.
Ryan Kumar, P.E., joins the Board of Directors as a Principal. He has more than 26 years of experience working at K+A in various departments including the laboratory, the field in both construction materials testing and drilling, and engineering. He is one of K+A’s Senior Project Managers and has been involved in projects across the Front Range including prominent projects at the Denver International Airport as well as multiple mixed-use and residential buildings in the Santa Fe Arts District, Cherry Creek Neighborhood, and Downtown Denver.
Robert Duran, P.E., has been recognized by the Board of Directors as an emerging leader for and committed to the success of K+A. He is a Project Engineer/Geologist in K+A's Glenwood Springs office. Robert has worked on complex geologic hazards assessment and mitigation projects for K+A throughout the state and various geotechnical subsurface investigations in the Western Slope. He will continue his day-to-day responsibilities along with helping to grow the culture, portfolio, and welfare of the company.
Congratulations to Lawrence Moller, P.G., for receiving his Professional Geologist (P.G.) license. Lawrence is one of K+A’s Environmental Scientists, performing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments as well as higher level due diligence services offered in-house. He provides expertise to K+A's engineering geology group by performing field reconnaissance and geologic analyses. Lawrence also acts as the Corporate Safety Officer for K+A.
