Haselden Construction Raises Over $710,000 for Homes For Our Troops

Haselden Construction Raises Over $710,000 for Homes For Our Troops to Support Mission of Providing Adapted Homes for Severely Injured post-9/11 Veterans

Haselden Construction recently presented $100,838 to the national nonprofit  Homes For Our Troops (HFOT), which builds and donates specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. The funds were raised at Haselden’s 8th annual clay target shoot for HFOT on June 3rd, bringing the total raised over the last eight years for the organization to more than $710,000.

Since its inception in 2004, HFOT has built 332 homes in 42 states for Veterans in the communities where they live and work. Each home is equipped with over 40 special adaptations and exceeds ADA compliancy standards, helping to restore some of their freedom and independence.

“In the business of building, it’s incredibly rewarding to be helping our country’s Veterans build homes and their lives,” said Byron Haselden, president and CEO of Haselden Construction. “Haselden was founded by my father, Jim Haselden, who is a Veteran himself, so it’s personally significant to have our team and partners come together to help Homes For Our Troops and these individuals make meaningful lives for themselves and their families.”

Haselden Construction’s longstanding dedication and efforts resulted in its 2021 ranking as the third largest fundraiser in the country, thanks to the unwavering support of our subcontracting community, team members and friends. Even faced with supply chain and inflation challenges in 2022, over 230 shooters and 40 volunteers showed their commitment to the mission of HFOT by participating in this year’s event.

“We are incredibly grateful for Haselden Construction, and their continued support over the past eight years.  We can only build homes and rebuild lives because of Patriotic supporters like them, and their dedication and commitment to our Veterans is unwavering,” says HFOT President/CEO Brigadier General, USA (Ret) Tom Landwermeyer.

About Homes For Our Troops (HFOT)
Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar spent has gone to our program services for Veterans. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives.
