Stack at Wheat Ridge Advances Toward Winter 2026 Completion in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Stack at Wheat Ridge, a new 255-unit Class A multifamily community from Thompson Thrift Real Estate Company, is advancing at 9880 W. 45th Place in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, near the northeast corner of Kipling Street and West 44th Avenue.

The 7-acre development is planned as a luxury apartment community serving the west side of the Denver metropolitan area. Designed by Studio M Architecture & Planning, the project includes approximately 342,745 square feet of multifamily and amenity space across three four-story residential buildings.

Construction began in early 2025, with completion expected in winter 2026. Thompson Thrift currently lists the community as now leasing.

New Housing Along a Connected Wheat Ridge Corridor

Stack at Wheat Ridge will include a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes designed with elevated finishes and modern residential features. Planned apartment interiors include quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, glass-top ranges, hardwood-style flooring, granite vanity tops with undermount sinks, walk-in showers, full-size washers and dryers, smart home capabilities, and private patio or balcony options. Select residences may also include enhanced appliance packages, soft-close cabinetry, premium lighting, upgraded closet systems, dry bars, and advanced smart home features.

Located near Kipling Street and West 44th Avenue, the community is positioned within a highly traveled corridor with access to Interstate 70, the Denver metro area, nearby retail, employment centers, and mountain recreation. Thompson Thrift’s project materials identify Kipling Street at approximately 42,000 vehicles per day, West 44th Avenue at approximately 15,000 vehicles per day, and the nearby I-70 corridor at approximately 147,000 vehicles per day.

Amenities Designed for Daily Living and Resident Connection

The community’s amenity program is planned to support wellness, recreation, pet-friendly living, and social connection. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, yoga and spin studio with on-demand fitness classes, resort-style heated swimming pool, outdoor firepit seating areas, billiards area, dog park, pet spa with grooming station, resident clubhouse, event suite with a full kitchen, resident conference room, and on-site service team.

Additional resident services are expected to include valet trash service and a mobile app designed to support day-to-day community access and communication.
