AC Hotel by Marriott in Frisco, Colorado Now Open

Denver-based hotel company 5 Senses Hospitality Management recently opened AC Hotel Frisco Colorado by Marriott® nearly two years after the hotel’s acquisition in 2021 and subsequent renovation.

5 Senses Hospitality Management purchased the extremely neglected property and proceeded to touch every aspect of the building, not only creating a brand-new aesthetic, but also a revenue generating asset in and ideal location.

The entirety of the building needed to be renovated with every aspect being a complete remodel to enhance and provide an open welcoming floorplan that offers guests modern day amenities and accessibility.

This project has had a tremendous impact on the local economy creating approximately 50 temporary jobs for local subcontractors during construction, and many additional employment opportunities for the Town of Frisco property direct including front desk associates, room attendants, as well as food and beverage team members. Management positions on property include Chief Engineer, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager and Director of Sales. It's anticipated a material increase in both occupancy and rate as a result of the renovated product and the strength of the Marriott consumer brand. The influx of guests to the hotel will bring incremental revenue to the Town of Frisco through dining in local restaurants, shopping in local stores, purchasing ski passes, spa treatments and other amenities that allow small locally owned businesses to capitalize and thrive.

Located on 1202 Summit Boulevard in Frisco, Colorado, off I-70, the property is enveloped by some of Summit County’s most in-demand ski resorts including Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Beaver Creek, Arapahoe Basin and Vail. The property is only six miles away from Sapphire Point, a popular hiking trail and wedding destination, along with the Dillion Reservoir, a 300-acre lake, which is only minutes away.

With 133 rooms to choose from, the property is pet-friendly and includes amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness room with floor to ceiling windows and an outdoor hot tub with a fire pit both overlooking the Tenmile Range from Frisco to Breckenridge. The property also offers a game room, private dining and meeting room, locker room, indoor swimming pool, library, business center, and an AC Restaurant and AC Lounge® serving local spirits, beer and wine.

“Summit County is a remarkable, unique location for our expansion of the 5 Senses Hospitality Management portfolio. Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s most stunning landscapes and surrounded by some of the most iconic world-class ski resorts in the Rocky Mountain region, the AC Hotel Frisco Colorado will provide guests with an oasis as they immerse themselves in the great outdoors,” said Chris Manley, founder and president of 5 Senses Hospitality Management.

Keeping sustainability at its core, the hotel's significant renovations  consisted of recycling 48,000 pounds of scrap metal and saved 22,500 pounds of material from Colorado landfills. Additionally, the hotel salvaged and donated 10 mattresses and more than 150 appliances, recovered 20 couches from the landfill stream, recycled 800 pounds of universal waste, including 400 HHW units, CFL bulbs and ballasts, as well as donated the property’s gym equipment for reuse.
