Reve Boulder Moves Toward Completion
Construction is moving at full speed on Reve Boulder, a new mixed-use development in Boulder that will include 242 residential units, 129,000-SF of office space, and 25,000-SF of retail space. Owner, Southern Land Company, has engaged architect, OZ Architecture to lead design services and is managing construction through their own forces at SLC Commercial Construction, Inc. Regional civil contractor Fiore & Sons is taking responsibility for the project’s site work package spread across the six-acre site. Fiore’s scope of work includes exporting 96,000-CY of excavated soil and importing some 18,000 tons of select aggregates along with complete fine grading for the site to accommodate site paving and landscaping. Fiore also was responsible for excavating and backfilling the site for Reve’s new parking structure, which will go two stories below ground to serve lease space extending four stories above. The underground parking structure requires a permanent dewatering system to keep water out of the site during construction and out of the garage once complete. Water will be treated on site and discharged to a practical and decorative waterfall into Lefthand Creek, which bisects the property. The utilities work on the site includes installing 8,400-LF of underground wet utilities. Other site work elements include 1,100-LF of cast-in-place concrete site walls. During excavation along the creek’s edge, large boulders were set aside for reuse in the site’s landscaping packaging and the screened fines were returned to the site in the form of structural fill and backfill.
Reve Boulder is expected to welcome the first users in the fall of 2021.
