Nest56 at Denargo Market Grand Opening
Milender White (MW), in partnership with Rivet Development Partners LLC and Pennrose LLC, are excited to announce the grand opening of Nest56, a supportive housing development designed for young adults aged 18-25 years old who are transitioning out of the foster care system or escaping economic or familial instability. Nest56, located in the Denargo Market neighborhood just north of Coors Field in downtown Denver, aims to provide these young adults with a stable environment and the support needed to overcome trauma and homelessness.
This five-story, 45,517 square-foot apartment building, designed by Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects, is a wood-frame structure over a concrete podium, featuring prefabricated wood wall panels built offsite by MW. The building offers: 56 Units: A mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments; Residential Amenities - Common spaces for residents to gather, build community, and access supportive services, and Social Enterprise Retail Space - An area designed to foster entrepreneurship and skill development among residents.

Nest56 is a significant step forward for Denver’s supportive housing initiatives. It provides a pathway for young adults to escape poverty and instability, offering the tools and resources they need to build a brighter future. The project received Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) approval in November 2021, with construction beginning in January 2023.
Milender White’s project team overcame unique challenges presented by the job site, a former landfill. Addressing contamination and unsuitable soil conditions required a specialized foundation system with grout-injected piers to stabilize the ground, minimizing excavation and haul-off. The site also posed logistical challenges due to its limited size, bordered by a large city-owned retaining wall on one side and railroad property on another.
Despite these hurdles, the collaborative efforts of the entire team created a development that will make a positive and lasting impact on its residents.
